Voice Data Policy

When we hear your voice

Only when you press the microphone to check a recitation.

Recitation checks

1. Chrome, Edge and Safari: your browser's own speech service (Google or Apple) may turn your recitation into text. Their privacy policies apply to that step.
2. Other browsers: the audio is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, checked by a speech model (hosted on Hugging Face for us) in memory, and discarded when the check ends. It is never written to disk, a database or logs.
3. We keep only the result: your score, which words were clear, and letter codes such as "ح said as ه" or "short madd".

Children

Children's recitations are handled the same way and are never stored.

Improving the check

We do not use your recitations to train or test models. To measure accuracy we ask volunteer reciters to record labelled examples, with separate written consent.
